Turnover in the housing market is good — and bad — but that depends on what location you’re talking about.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nationwide, home sales are active and there is plenty of inventory for buyers to choose from, but unlike previous generations the market isn’t “churning” well, meaning there are not a lot of people selling their longtime family homes because the kids have grown up and moved out, the so-called “empty nest” syndrome. <\/p>\n

Real Estate expert Caralee Gurney says Texas, however, is exhibiting a wide array of homes for sale.<\/p>\n

“You’re seeing Texas looking strong and it has been that way for a long time, it’s always been a solid market.”<\/p>\n

An interesting phenomenon, though, is the continued success of home sales in high-end much-desired properties such as those in upper middle class areas like Houston’s Memorial City or the suburbs of Dallas — or San Antonio’s New Braunfels, which may not be high-end…yet.<\/p>\n

But Ms. Gurney says it’s just a matter of supply and demand.<\/p>\n
