The Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Orphan Master\u2019s Son will talk about his latest book, The Wayfinder, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the Dallas Museum of Art. <\/p>\n

In conversation with Southern Methodist University\u2019s Susan Ayotte Norman, Johnson will expound upon his epic novel, a myth-heavy historical saga set in the Polynesian islands of the South Pacific during the apex of the Tu\u2019i Tonga Empire, which began around 950 A.D. The Wayfinder follows the heroic journey of a young girl tasked with rescuing her people from starvation, and her culture from erasure.<\/p>\n
