Belkoura | Fort Worth Report)<\/p>\n<p>The project, announced in <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/2024\/10\/26\/medical-city-fort-worth-confirms-37m-expansion-as-health-system-stretches-tarrant-reach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">October 2024<\/a>, started earlier this year. <a href=\"https:\/\/trerc.tamu.edu\/news-talk\/medical-city-fort-worth-sees-64m-expansion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Medical City Fort Worth <\/a>provides emergency services, heart and vascular care, kidney transplants and orthopedic care, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Additional expansion in the near future includes the construction of a $51 million parking garage set to break ground in 2026, Hoover said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Medical City Fort Worth was <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/2023\/11\/02\/medical-city-fort-worth-nationally-recognized-for-specialty-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">named<\/a> one of the 250 best hospitals in the country for 2023 by Healthgrades.<\/p>\n<p>Fort Worth is not the only city in North Texas reaping the rewards of Medical City\u2019s investment. The system is investing $1.7 billion regionally over five years to improve and expand facilities across the region.<\/p>\n<p>That includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicalcityhealthcare.com\/about-us\/newsroom\/144-million-expansion-complete-at-medical-city-arlington\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$144 million<\/a> project in Arlington for a new patient tower and other upgrades and a new <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/2025\/01\/30\/medical-city-expands-mental-health-access-with-new-50m-center-in-north-fort-worth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$50 million mental health center<\/a> in the Alliance area. Belkoura | Fort Worth Report) <\/p>\n<p>Mayor Mattie Parker stressed to those at the ribbon cutting that North Texas will soon have a larger population than the metro region of Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to have health care support from every single provider here in North Texas,\u201d Parker said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Medical City\u2019s growth coincides with other <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/2024\/11\/24\/fort-worths-major-hospitals-are-transforming-to-keep-up-with-growth-heres-what-to-expect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">large investments<\/a> in Fort Worth\u2019s medical district. JPS Health Network, UT Southwestern, Baylor Scott &amp; White Health, Cook Children\u2019s Health Care System and Texas Health Resources are all financing enhancements to facilities in the Medical District.<\/p>\n<p>Ismael M.
