The baby arrived to parents Sheli and Jamal, after a five month gestation period.<\/p>\n
The infant is currently unnamed, but keepers will select a name once they are able to determine the monkey\u2019s sex in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
Adorable new photos released by the zoo show the infant clinging to mum Sheli as she perches on branches around her enclosure.<\/p>\n
It will stay clinging to its mother for several months, but will remain dependent on her for around two years.<\/p>\n

Currently, the infant\u2019s fur is a pale shade of orange, which will darken to the typical shade of black at around three months old.<\/p>\n
L\u2019Hoest\u2019s monkeys are native to Central and East Africa, and are nicknamed \u201cmountain monkeys\u201d due to their preference for high-altitude forests.<\/p>\n
