Alongside B+LNZ Inc, we\u2019re using it as an opportunity to spotlight important statistics on iron intake and red meat\u2019s nutritional value. Join the conversion by sharing statistics via the World Iron Awareness website<\/a>. For those in Auckland, join the celebration at ParkRun Cornwall Park on Saturday 18 October for a free, family-friendly morning of running, beef burgers, live music, games, giveaways, and a chance to meet rugby star and Beef + Lamb Ambassador Stacey Waaka.<\/p>\n Ram nominations for the Sheep Progeny Test<\/p>\n Stud breeders are invited to nominate rams for the 2026 mating of the Sheep Central Progeny Test (CPT). Open to both Maternal and Terminal sires, the CPT underpins New Zealand\u2019s sheep genetic evaluation. It creates genetic links, benchmarks sires, investigates new traits, and demonstrates the power of genetics. Nominations close Friday 21 November. More information and nomination form here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Alliance Group vote<\/p>\n Alliance farmer-shareholders are encouraged to have their say on the proposed strategic investment partnership with Dawn Meats Group by casting their vote. Voting is open now and can be completed online via a link sent to shareholders from Electionz.com or by bringing a voting\/proxy form to the Special General Meeting in Invercargill on 20 October. Please note corporate shareholders may have to appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf at the meeting.
