After the mercury rose to a high of 90 on Wednesday and 92 degrees earlier in the week, dropping down to 87 degrees for Thursday could feel like an improvement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">It\u2019s still several degrees hotter than normal \u2014 the 30-year average for the second week of October is 81.
