The chance of precipitation is 60%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;Rain chances pick up Sunday into Monday, and even Tuesday too,&#8221; Woods said.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"WNYW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Local perspective:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Days of heavy rain, high winds, dangerous rip currents and high surf are likely if the storm develops as expected. NOAA&#8217;s Weather Prediction Center issued a Level 2 out of 4 flash flood risk for parts of the New York City area on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/flood.jpg\" alt=\"This graphic shows the flash flood threat beginning on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. (FOX Weather)\" data-v-0dea8073=\"\"\/> <\/p>\n<p data-v-0dea8073=\"\">This graphic shows the flash flood threat beginning on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. <strong>(FOX Weather)<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;High surf is expected on many East Coast beaches, which will generate strong rip currents and potentially lead to some beach erosion,&#8221; the NWS Weather Prediction Service <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NWSWPC\/status\/1976186607951618208\/photo\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said.<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">According to the <strong>FOX Forecast Center,<\/strong> rain closer to the coast looks to amount to a widespread 2-3 inches through Monday.
