What started as a pop-up taco shop in 2018 now has four brick-and-mortar locations across North Texas in Arlington, Dallas, Mansfield and Fort Worth. All serve a Tex-Mex blend that landed them on Texas Monthly’s prestigious top 50 barbecue list. To start, a new location is now open in North Texas as a food truck located at Oak Highlands Brewery in Richardson. Hurtado’s is familiar with the food truck game: their first-ever location was a mobile spot outside a brewery.

We are fired up about the collaboration with Oak Highlands Brewery, as the 3,000 square foot taproom with over 20 beers on tap is going to make for one of the best barbecue and beer hangouts in the city.

The unique flavors of Oak Highlands brews will also make for some heavenly barbecue-beer combinations, such as the “Jalabueno,” brewed with jalapenos and lime and Hurtado’s Mexican-style street corn, or the “Mas Mejor,” a light and easy Mexican lager with the famous Birria Tacos.

Be aware that before you go, the food truck does not feature the full Hurtados’ menu. Instead, the menu is a pick of the favorites.

Landman

In other news, The Dallas Morning News reported Hurtados is featured in the second season of Landman. Brandon Hurtado and three of his pitmasters spent a day on the set of Landman acting as extras.

The filming took place in Fort Worth, and all they had to do was be themselves, just serving barbecue to oilmen at an oil convention. Hurtado’s was an obvious choice for Sheridan as well, as they already cater to private events for Sheridan and his TV crews.

Hurtado told the Dallas Morning News that while the filming was fun, he doesn’t want to pursue a career in acting.

“There were a lot of takes … we were out there in the heat for quite some time,” Hurtado told the DMN.

The newest season of Landman premieres on Nov. 16, so keep an eye out for the Hurtado logo and barbecue sauce bottles that appear on the show.

As the accolades, awards, and locations keep rolling in for Hurtados, we’re here for all of it. It’s one of our favorite North Texas spots.

Mexicue food truck menu.

oakhighlandsbrewery / Instagram

Hurtados brisket and sides Lauren Drewes Daniels North Texas staple Hurtado Barbecue is opening a new location and…

[5138
5229,18719,7738,7371,7372,97044,358,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-289666","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-fort-worth","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-bbq","10":"tag-beer","11":"tag-fort-worth","12":"tag-fortworth","13":"tag-openings-closings","14":"tag-texas","15":"tag-tx","16":"tag-united-states","17":"tag-united-states-of-america","18":"tag-unitedstates","19":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","20":"tag-us","21":"tag-usa
["GET
