\n\tIt\u2019s time to return to the Seven Kingdoms.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tHBO has unveiled the first trailer for \u201cA Knight of the Seven Kingdoms<\/a>,\u201d a prequel to \u201cGame of Thrones<\/a>.\u201d The six-episode, half-hour drama will premiere on Jan 18.<\/p>\n \n\tThe official logline for the series reads \u201cA century before the events of \u2018Game of Thrones,\u2019 two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros, a young, na\u00efve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cA Knight of the Seven Kingdoms\u201d is based on author George R. R. Martin\u2019s novellas titled \u201cTales of Dunk and Egg.\u201d Peter Claffey stars as Ser Duncan the Tall, a hedge knight in Westeros, and Dexter Sol Ansell is his diminutive squire Egg, who\u2019s really Prince Aegon Targaryen (unrelated to either of the characters of the same name in HBO\u2019s other prequel series \u201cHouse of the Dragon.\u201d)<\/p>\n \n\tThe show also stars Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, Daniel Ings, Tanzyn Crawford, Sam Spruell, Ross Anderson, Edward Ashley, Henry Ashton, Youssef Kerkour, Daniel Monks, Shaun Thomas, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Steve Wall and Danny Webb.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cA Knight of the Seven Kingdoms\u201d is written and executive produced by Martin and Ira Parker (\u201cHouse of the Dragon\u201d). Ryan Condal (\u201cHouse of the Dragon\u201d), Vince Gerardis, Owen Harris and Sarah Bradshaw will also serve as executive producers on the series.
