JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Buying a home right now feels impossible for a lot of families in Florida and Georgia, but VyStar said it\u2019s trying to change that, especially for the people we all rely on.<\/p>\n

How does NO down payment and NO private mortgage insurance sound on your next home loan? It probably makes things a whole lot more A4dable.<\/p>\n

The Everyday Heroes Program<\/a> is a special mortgage product for first-time homebuyers in certain professions like first responders, teachers, nurses, law enforcement, firefighters, doctors and even veterinarians.<\/p>\n

\u201cAffordable housing programs are not new by any stretch of the imagination, but one of the challenges that people face is that there\u2019s a lot of restrictions with these programs and so when we designed the Everyday Heroes Program, we eliminated restrictions like income limits,\u201d Jason Sorochinsky, Vice President of Vystar Real Estate Lending, said.<\/p>\n

The program offers major benefits: full financing up to $1.2 million and no private mortgage insurance. For Florida residents, it also eliminates the state\u2019s intangible tax, which typically saves buyers about $800 at closing.<\/p>\n

The biggest help is not having to save for a down payment and unlike similar programs, there is no cap. It\u2019s a long-term solution designed to help address affordability.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what we heard from our membership, that was the biggest barrier to home ownership,\u201d Sorochinsky said. \u201cThis is here for the long run for our everyday heroes.\u201d<\/p>\n
