(Photo by Stuart Franklin\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Club Brugge centre-forward Nicol\u00f2 Tresoldi has \u2018not made a decision\u2019 on whether to represent Germany, Italy or even Argentina at senior level, but his \u2018dream\u2019 is AC Milan.<\/p>\n<p>The striker only just celebrated his 21st birthday in August and is <a href=\"https:\/\/football-italia.net\/gattuso-tresoldi-palma-for-future-italy-talent\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">flourishing since the \u20ac6m transfer from Hanover to Club Brugge in July.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He has contributed five goals and three assists in 17 competitive appearances for the club, along with nine goals in 18 caps for Germany at Under-21 level.<\/p>\n<p>However, he was born and largely raised in Italy, before his family moved to Germany when he was just 13 years old, so is also <a href=\"https:\/\/football-italia.net\/why-italy-cannot-call-up-ahanor-2026-tresoldi\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">on the radar for Gennaro Gattuso\u2019s Azzurri.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tresoldi open to Italy, Germany or Argentina call<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Nicolo-Tresoldi-goal-Germany.jpg\" class=\"lazyload lazyload wp-image-919776 has-webp size-medium\" alt=\"ROSTOCK, GERMANY - SEPTEMBER 09: Nicolo Tresoldi of Germany scores his team's fourth goal past Nikita Parfjonovs of Latvia during the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifier match between Germany U21 and Latvia U21 at Ostseestadion on September 09, 2025 in Rostock, Germany. (Photo by Stuart Franklin\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel happy and am satisfied with the Germany Under-21 side, I will confirm that senior international football is an objective,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilmessaggero.it\/sport\/calcio\/nicolo_tresoldi_intervista_italia_nazionale_padre_cosa_ha_detto-9115114.html?refresh_ce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Tresoldi told Il Messaggero newspaper.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not surprised Italy didn\u2019t call me. Italy already has many great strikers, so there is a lot of competition for places there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Because he has not played for any nation at senior level yet, his options are open, even to a third candidate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeeing as my mother is from Argentina, I even have the possibility of playing for them, but I have not made a decision yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tresoldi comes from a sporting family, as his father Emanuele was a full-back for Atalanta and was part of Cesare Maldini\u2019s Italy squad that won the 1994 European Under-21 Championship title.<\/p>\n<p>Even before taking on a football career, Nicol\u00f2 was a very promising tennis player, participating in the Under-21 Davis Cup Italy team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy father tries to help me find the right balance between raising and lowering the pressure level throughout the season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Nicolo-Tresoldi-Club-Brugge.jpg\" class=\"lazyload lazyload wp-image-920082 has-webp size-medium\" alt=\"BRUGES, BELGIUM - SEPTEMBER 18: Nicolo Tresoldi of Club Brugge shoots on goal in front of Eric Dier of AS Monaco during the UEFA Champions League 2025\/26 League Phase MD1 match between Club Brugge KV and AS Monaco at Jan Breydelstadion on September 18, 2025 in Bruges, Belgium. (Photo by Dean Mouhtaropoulos\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>There were trials at Milan, Juventus, Roma, Atalanta, Bologna and Fiorentina, but it was only in Hanover that Tresoldi\u2019s football career began.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was too small then, and I\u2019m glad with the decision we made to go abroad. I started playing football because I loved Milan and that remains my biggest dream, but I know that I must improve to reach those levels and be ready.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy idol has always been Pippo Inzaghi, then growing up I was inspired by Luis Suarez, and now I watch all the Robert Lewandowski games, trying to learn as much as I can.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope Milan win Serie A, while in the Champions League we could maybe get a Club Brugge Final against Barcelona.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He speaks four languages fluently, but was born in Sardinia and has citizenship of three different countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI always liked to travel around and was fortunate enough to have a family that was very supportive. I am very fond of Sardinia and especially Gubbio, where I grew up.
