There’s a little something for everyone: artisan pizza, acclaimed sushi, Cajun food, ice cream, and a beverage place. That just about covers it all.

Here’s where to eat in Fort Worth right now:

BobaLou
Darling mom-and-pop restaurant from Luis and Rhonda Nardini just opened at 1054 W. Magnolia Ave. at Washington in the Near Southside, on the street level of the new-ish Highline at Magnolia apartment building. They’re doing milk and fruit bubble teas, panini in more than a dozen varieties — roast beef melt, buffalo chicken, pastrami, and more — plus hot dogs, wraps, bubble waffles, and gelato in 19 flavors such as Sicilian pistachio, coconut, Italian espresso, and tiramisu, plus vegan options and sorbets.

Cocodrie’s Bayou Kitchen
Cajun seafood concept just opened in North Richland Hills from Jesse Gibson, a transplant from Louisiana who’s been involved in a number of local Cajun restaurants. They’re a counter service place serving shrimp and oyster po’boys, boudin balls and eggrolls, smoked redfish, and seafood boils. They also sell products that Gibson says are hard to come by outside of Louisiana, including seasonings, jambalaya mix, gumbo mix, and etouffee.

Mister O1 Pizza
Gourmet pizzeria chain from Miami just opened a location in the Left Bank mixed-use shopping center off 7th Street where it’s serving traditional Italian pizza, with a light, crisp dough and high-quality ingredients imported from Italy. The signature item is the Star Luca, a star-shaped pizza filled with ricotta cheese, spicy salami calabrese, mozzarella, Italian tomato sauce and basil. This is the chain’s sixth restaurant in Dallas-Fort Worth — joining Mansfield and Grapevine — and the second in Fort Worth, following a location that just opened in the Alliance area in June 2025.

Oishii
Local chain just opened a location in Fort Worth, in a former chicken wing place at 1664 S. University Dr. #718. Oishii has been a destination for old-school in-the-know Dallasites for two decades: a convenient lunch stop on dishes like the sushi lunch platter, and a cool dinner drop-in with specials like Peking duck and the signature Royce sushi roll drizzled with truffle oil. Fort Worth follows a location that opened in Grapevine in 2023 — continuing an expansion that chef-owner Thanh Nguyen Oishii initiated in 2019.

Rendon Creamery
This ice cream shop in Rendon in the southeast corner of Fort Worth has a little something extra: It serves not only ice cream, but also coffee, espresso drinks, beer, and wine. Owners Sarah Bhimani and Zanith Khoja wanted to bring a family-friendly place where people could slow down, indulge, and connect. They offer 12 flavors of ice cream in creative flavors such as Texas praline, honey bacon, and rainbow sherbet; plus drip coffee, espresso drinks, and an especially robust wine list with red, white, rose, and champagne, with about 20 varieties of each.

Yoichi Omakase & Handroll
New sushi concept in the former Shinjuku Station from a trio of accomplished chefs has opened softly with a menu of two trendy items: sushi handrolls and omakase-style dining — a style in which a series of bite-size courses is presented by the chef. Yoichi’s omakase experience has 12 courses, starting with two appetizers, then nine main items consisting of sushi and sashimi, and ending with dessert. There’s also a full bar with sake, Japanese beer, and whiskey, plus cocktails using Japanese and Asian ingredients.

The October edition of Where to Eat, CultureMap’s monthly list of restaurants that are new or newsworthy in…

[5138
5229,30440,7371,7372,980,358,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969,12211
0":"post-290398","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-fort-worth","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-bests","10":"tag-fort-worth","11":"tag-fortworth","12":"tag-lists","13":"tag-texas","14":"tag-tx","15":"tag-united-states","16":"tag-united-states-of-america","17":"tag-unitedstates","18":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","19":"tag-us","20":"tag-usa","21":"tag-where-to-eat
["GET
