Ragini Das, entrepreneur and co-founder of leap.club, has been appointed as the Head of Startups at Google<\/a> India. Reflecting on the journey, she described the new role as a \u201cfull circle\u201d moment, sharing that she did not make it past Google\u2019s final interview round back in 2013. \u201cLife really does come full circle,\u201d she wrote on X (formerly Twitter<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Mission to Empower Startups<\/strong><\/p>\n

Commenting on her vision at Google, Ragini said, \u201cWe\u2019re on a mission to support thriving startups around the world by connecting them to the right people, products, and best practices to help them grow.\u201d Her focus will be on fostering innovation and providing strategic guidance to startups across India.<\/p>\n

Early Life and Education<\/strong><\/p>\n

Born in Gurugram, Ragini completed her schooling at Chettinad Vidyashram in Chennai, where she also served as the Cultural Secretary. She went on to pursue a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration from Lancaster University, during which she interned with Standard Chartered Bank and other organisations, contributing to market research and business plans for the Indian market.<\/p>\n

Career Journey and Entrepreneurial Ventures<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2012, Ragini joined Trident Group India as a frontline entrepreneur for domestic marketing and later handled Europe and US marketing. She managed accounts for home textile clients and hotels, analysed sales performance, and supported production and logistics operations.<\/p>\n

Joining Zomato in 2013 as a Sales and Marketing Manager, she spent six years in various roles including Key Account Manager and Area Sales Manager. She became part of the Zomato Gold founding team in 2017, working on user growth, engagement, retention, and product marketing. She helped launch Zomato Gold in 10 international markets, including Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Qatar, and Lebanon.<\/p>\n

Leap.club and Women\u2019s Entrepreneurship<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2020, Ragini co-founded leap.club, creating a platform for thousands of women with networking opportunities, curated events, and interest-based communities. The platform grew rapidly before ceasing operations in June 2025. Beyond her entrepreneurial ventures, she serves as the Chair of the Women in Startups Committee at FICCI, advocating for women-led businesses and innovation in India.<\/p>\n
