FRISCO \u2014 Another day, another lengthy injury report for the Dallas Cowboys<\/a>. It featured some new names, too. <\/p>\n

Cowboys defensive end Dante Fowler (illness), quarterback Joe Milton (personal), running back Miles Sanders (ankle) and wide receiver Jonathan Mingo (knee) all missed Thursday\u2019s practice after being in attendance for practice on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

The Mingo one in particular was surprising, considering he\u2019s currently in the 21-day practice window as he hopes to return from a preseason knee injury that landed him on injured reserve. The Cowboys opened the practice window for Mingo and corner Caelen Carson \u2014 a full participant the last two days of practice \u2014 on Oct. 1<\/a>. That means the Cowboys will have until Oct. 22 to decide whether to release Mingo or Carson, or redirect them to injured reserve for the remainder of the season. <\/p>\n

Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and rookie first round guard Tyler Booker didn\u2019t practice again on Thursday<\/a> as they continue to rehabilitate ankle sprains suffered in Week 3. There was a noticeable acceleration in their rehabilitation work, however. The Cowboys didn\u2019t place them on injured reserve in the hopes they could be back within four weeks of there injuries. There\u2019s a chance both could be available next week against Washington. <\/p>\n

There was some other good news for the Cowboys on Thursday. Starting left tackle Tyler Guyton cleared concussion protocol after suffering one in the Week 4 tie against the Green Bay Packers<\/a>. The Cowboys also saw starting safety Donovan Wilson return to practice in a limited fashion after missing practice on Wednesday. He missed practice with designated elbow and knee injuries. He was wearing an elbow brace during practice on Thursday. <\/p>\n

In total, eight players didn\u2019t practice, including linebacker Jack Sanborn (concussion), and nine players were limited.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys will announce status designations for Sunday\u2019s road game against Carolina on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
