Bret Holmes, a former team owner in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will return to the series for the first time in more than a year, competing in the Love\u2019s RV Stops 225 at Talladega Superspeedway on October 17.<\/p>\n

Holmes, a native of Munford, Alabama, will get behind the wheel of a top-tier entry at the 2.66-mile superspeedway in his home state, piloting the No. 1 ShopTRICON.com Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old is a former champion of the ARCA Menards Series (2020), a championship that he earned while competing for his family-owned operation, Bret Holmes Racing. With that same team, Holmes earned a pair of top-five finishes in 56 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts \u2014 a third at Talladega (2022) and a fourth at Daytona (2024).<\/p>\n

The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs are getting more intense than ever\u2026 with just a three-race round determining which four drivers will be racing for the championship at Phoenix Raceway in November. A victory in one of these next three races \u2014 Las Vegas, Talladega, or Martinsville \u2014 will lock a championship-eligible driver into the Championship 4.<\/p>\n

While there are eight drivers looking to punch their ticket into the championship finale at Phoenix, there are 28 others who are looking to put another win in their pocket prior to the end of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series campaign.<\/p>\n

There are lots of drivers who could make something happen every week, but there are five drivers in particular who could be in a prime position to park their vehicles in Victory Lane this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway<\/p>\n
