JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 A man accused of killing a 13-year-old in a drive-by shooting walked out of court Thursday a free man.<\/p>\n
Emotions flooded a Duval County courtroom as the verdict was read.<\/p>\n
>>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <\/b><\/a><\/p>\n A jury found Kentrevious Garard not guilty on all charges in connection to the murder of Prince Holland.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know how to feel,\u201d Garard said. \u201cI\u2019m just happy to be free, that\u2019s all I can say.\u201d<\/p>\n Holland was killed while leaving football tryouts in 2022.<\/p>\n Garard was accused of being the gunman in that shooting.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, he took the stand and testified that he is innocent, something jurors ultimately may have believed after several hours of deliberations.<\/p>\n \u201cMy heart goes out to everybody that was involved,\u201d Garard said. \u201cDeceased, the ones that are still here, but I had nothing to do with it.\u201d<\/p>\n The other defendant, Marcel Johnson, is the man investigators said was the driver of that car.<\/p>\n During the trial, an interrogation video of Johnson was shown, where he confesses.<\/p>\n However, after hours and hours of deliberations, his jury was not able to reach a unanimous verdict, so Judge Jeb T. Branham declared a mistrial.<\/p>\n [SIGN UP: <\/b>Action News Jax Daily Headlines Newsletter<\/b><\/a>] <\/b><\/p>\n Action News Jax spoke with Johnson\u2019s legal team, but they said they were unable to comment on this, as the case is still active.<\/p>\n There will be a retrial for Johnson.
