PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Authorities say a driver is in custody after crashing into a Phoenix Police patrol vehicle and fleeing the scene early Friday morning.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, just before 1 a.m., a Phoenix police officer was driving near 7th Avenue and Indian School Road <\/a>when a woman crashed into the patrol car. The woman then drove off from the scene before other officers arrived.<\/p>\n

The officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, investigators say. Additional officers searched the area and later located the suspect. <\/p>\n

Arizona\u2019s Family crews witnessed the rear bumper ripped off of the patrol vehicle. The area was temporarily closed but later reopened. <\/p>\n

Authorities say the woman was processed for DUI and will be booked into jail. Her name has not yet been released. <\/p>\n
