{"id":292455,"date":"2025-10-10T17:11:18","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T17:11:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/292455\/"},"modified":"2025-10-10T17:11:18","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T17:11:18","slug":"humble-kicks-off-holiday-season-with-home-business-decor-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/292455\/","title":{"rendered":"Humble kicks off holiday season with home, business decor contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\tThree Humble residents who display the most holiday spirit through their decor could win up to $100 and be honored in the local parade if they win this year\u2019s city Christmas Lights contest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breaking down the contest<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofhumbletx.gov\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Humble city officials<\/a> launched the annual Christmas Lights and Decoration Contest for anyone living within Humble\u2019s city limits to enter by Nov. 28, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofhumbletx.gov\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/LIGHTING-CONTEST-SHEET-2025.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">flyer posted on the city\u2019s website<\/a>. Contestants can decorate their house, yard or business with Christmas decor to enter.<\/p>\n<p>Winners will receive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$100 equivalent prize for first place; $75 for second place; and $25 for third place<\/li>\n<li>Recognition at the city\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofhumbletx.gov\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2025-Annual-Christmas-Parade-of-Lights-Registration-Forms.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Christmas parade<\/a><\/li>\n<li>A plaque from Humble City Council<\/li>\n<li>A Christmas ornament<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What else?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Judging for the contest will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1, per the flyer. The contest contains three categories: commercial\/business building, commercial\/business windows and private residence\/home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learn more<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To enter Humble\u2019s Christmas Lights and Decoration Contest, contestants must fill out the form posted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofhumbletx.gov\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/LIGHTING-CONTEST-SHEET-2025.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>, and mail it to or drop it off at Humble City Hall, located at 114 W.
