Sam’s Club members have new shopping hours starting Sunday, the warehouse club said on its website. <\/p>\n

“Extended club hours, coming soon!” a website banner on a Chicago-area Sam’s Club location<\/a> read. The new hours, which go into effect Sunday, Oct. 12, mean Sam’s Club stores will be open until 8 p.m. daily for “all members.”<\/p>\n

Previously, most stores were daily until 6 p.m., reports said, though hours may vary by store and membership tier. Walmart, which owns Sam’s Club, did not immediately respond to NBC Chicago’s request for comment. <\/p>\n

The change comes more than a month after Costco extended its shopping hours<\/a>, but only for certain members. As of Sept. 2, Costco executive members can now enter stores as early as 9 a.m. on weekdays and Sundays, giving them an extra hour of private shopping. On Saturdays, those members can enter at 9:30 a.m., with stores opening to all other members at 10 a.m. <\/p>\n

Costco’s executive membership costs $130 a year, compared to the Gold Star membership, which costs $65 per year.\u00a0Those membership fees increased<\/a>\u00a0on Sept. 1, 2024, from $120 for Executive membership, and $60 for Gold Star.<\/p>\n

Sam’s Club memberships start at $50 per year for a club membership, or $110 for a plus membership. <\/p>\n
