The Official Charts Company reports that The Life of a Showgirl is the biggest opening week for any artist since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/ed-sheeran\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Ed Sheeran;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Ed Sheeran<\/a>\u2019s 2017 album Divide (672,000) and is the largest opening week for an international album in the U.K. this century.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The LP is also named the U.K.\u2019s fastest-selling album on vinyl this century, and the biggest one-week vinyl sale since modern Official Chart records began in 1994. On streaming, The Life of a Showgirl has notched up the most U.K. album streams over a course of a week ever. Streaming contributed 84,000 stream-equivalent sales to her total this week, eclipsing both Ed Sheeran\u2019s Divide and her own previous studio album The Tortured Poets Department, both of which managed 79,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">She also extends her lead with the most No. 1s on the U.K. Albums Charts for an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/taylor-swift-surpasses-madonna-time-180000149.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:international artist;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">international artist<\/a>, and now ties for second overall with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/the-rolling-stones\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:The Rolling Stones;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">The Rolling Stones<\/a> (14). The top spot is also currently a tie between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/the-beatles\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:The Beatles;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">The Beatles<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/robbie-williams\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Robbie Williams;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Robbie Williams<\/a> who both have 15 apiece; the latter playfully <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/music\/articles\/robbie-williams-says-taylor-swift-112606443.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:blamed;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blamed<\/a> Swift for the delay of his upcoming album Britpop, which was due to be released this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThe Fate of Ophelia\u201d tops the U.K. Singles Charts, with \u201cElizabeth Taylor\u201d (No. 2) and \u201cOpalite\u201d (No. 3) following closely behind. Swift adds to her existing four U.K. chart-toppers throughout her career: \u201cLook What You Made Me Do\u201d (2017), \u201cAnti-Hero\u201d (2022), \u201cIs It Over Now?\u201d (2023) and \u201cFortnight\u201d (2024).<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Olivia Dean loses her top spot on both charts after The Art of Loving and its single \u201cMan I Need\u201d earned the British star her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/music\/articles\/olivia-dean-hits-no-1-170000498.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:maiden No. 1s;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maiden No. 1s<\/a> on either chart.
