Temperatures this morning fell below freezing in Syracuse for the first time since April making for a very frosty morning across central New York. <\/p>\n
Looking ahead to a beautiful Friday afternoon with plenty of sunshine and a light breeze. A series of low-pressure systems will begin to bring rain chances to central New York over the weekend and early half of next week. <\/p>\n
Only a few scattered showers are likely across the western half of the Finger Lakes Saturday afternoon, but more widespread rain showers will develop later in the evening.<\/p>\n
Nearing sunset Saturday, rain showers are looking to move from south to north along the I-81 corridor. We’re not anticipating anything severe, but if you’re out taking advantage of the fall season, be prepared for a few raindrops! <\/p>\n
Rain showers could linger over into Sunday morning before clearing skies are likely during the daytime Sunday. <\/p>\n
Even though we are contending with rain showers this weekend we have to remember that it’s a good thing! Currently over 20% of the state is under a severe drought so we need all the rain we can get. <\/p>\n
