The talented singers from the San Diego Gay Men\u2019s Chorus<\/a> lent their voices to the new show, singing a rendition of George Michael\u2019s hit 1990 song \u201cFreedom!\u201d The show is described as a bootcamp coming-of-age story that centers on new Marine Corps recruit Cameron, portrayed by Miles Heizer from \u201c13 Reasons Why,\u201d who is on a journey of self-discovery, during the era of \u201cDon\u2019t Ask, Don\u2019t Tell.\u201d<\/p>\n The San Diego Gay Men\u2019s Chorus celebrated the \u201cBoots\u201d premiere on Thursday with a performance at #1 Fifth Avenue in Hillcrest. Netflix featured the chorus\u2019s song in the show\u2019s trailer, which was released in September.<\/p>\n \u201cThis was such an honor! As a San Diego chorus, we\u2019ve always had active-duty service members and veterans in our ranks.
