During her October 9 appearance on\u00a0Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen<\/a>, Heather confirmed she and her husband,\u00a0Dr. Terry Dubrow<\/a>, were invited to the\u00a0\u201cunconventional\u201d ceremony<\/a>, but they chose to skip the event for several reasons, including a family commitment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Heather Dubrow was out of town during Alexis Bellino’s wedding<\/p>\n

\u201cTerry and I were invited to the wedding,\u201d\u00a0The Real Housewives of Orange County<\/a>\u00a0mom said. \u201cWe were at Parents Weekend this weekend with our daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexis and John\u00a0tied the knot on Friday, October 3<\/a>, the same day that Heather and Terry arrived in Connecticut to visit their daughter\u00a0Kat Dubrow<\/a>. As seen on\u00a0Heather\u2019s Instagram<\/a>, she and her hubby spent\u00a0several days at Yale University<\/a>, where their youngest daughter just began her freshman year. Family Weekend also coincided with Kat\u2019s birthday, which, of course, made the trip extra special.<\/p>\n

But that wasn\u2019t the only reason why Heather missed Alexis\u2019 wedding. The OC mom said her friendship with\u00a0Shannon Storms Beador<\/a>\u00a0was also a factor, as Shannon had\u00a0previously dated John for several years<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, [it was a] complicated invite because, obviously, Shannon\u2019s a good friend, and we\u2019re not friends with Alexis and John as a couple,\u201d Heather said. \u201cBut I do think Alexis is a great mom and a great girl, and I wish her all the happiness in the world.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The latter spoke about the celebration during a recent episode of\u00a0Two Ts in Pod<\/a>, describing the event as both \u201cbeautiful\u201d and \u201cdrama-free.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was at the ranch in Laguna Beach, which I have never been to,\u201d she told her co-host,\u00a0The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a>\u00a0alum\u00a0Teddi Mellencamp<\/a>. \u201cYou would never know you are at the ocean; you are in the woods underneath all these big \u2014 I think they were Oak trees. There were about 150 people there\u2026 There was so much love. So much love. It was just amazing. Beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n
