\n\tFollowing his long-overdue Marvel<\/a> debut, Channing Tatum<\/a> is setting high expectations for what\u2019s to come in Avengers: Doomsday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor, who played Gambit in last year\u2019s Deadpool & Wolverine<\/a>, teased that fans are \u201cjust not ready for what\u2019s about to happen\u201d in the upcoming MCU<\/a> movie, which sees a long roster of franchise stars also returning to save the world.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think they put a chip in me so that if I say something stupid, I would just start getting seizures,\u201d joked Tatum on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI get to play my favorite character, Gambit\u2026 I was the kid in Pascagoula, Mississippi, who was throwing cards at friends in the living room. I always wanted to be an X-Man, so now to be in the Avengers, is beyond my wildest dreams.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis movie, they have to supersede their expectations every single time. I was like, \u2018How are they going to do it? How are they going to surpass the last thing they did?\u2019 I read the script, and my first question after reading the script was, \u2018How are you guys going to pull this story off?\u2019 And you\u2019re just not ready for what\u2019s about to happen,\u201d added Tatum.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tHugh Jackman, Wesley Snipes, Channing Tatum, Dafne Keen, Ryan Reynolds and Jennifer Garner in \u2018Deadpool & Wolverine\u2019 (2024)<\/p>\n

\n\tTatum was meant to play Gambit in X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), but the character didn\u2019t make it into the film. Due to a scheduling conflict for Tatum, Taylor Kitsch played Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which also featured Reynolds\u2019 debut as Deadpool.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor the past decade, Tatum has been attached to a potential solo outing, which has bounced around among multiple directors.<\/p>\n

\n\tTatum\u2019s surprise cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine also featured the returns of Chris Evans\u2019 Human Torch, Wesley Snipes\u2019 Blade and Jennifer Garner as Elektra, as well as Dafne Keen as X-23.<\/p>\n
