Kennedy scion Jack Schlossberg \u2014 JFK\u2019s only grandson<\/a> \u2014 \u00a0is continuing to test the waters when it comes to a potential congressional run.<\/p>\n

The dashing Democrat and son of Caroline Kennedy was spotted rubbing elbows and shaking hands at the Carnegie Hall Opening Gala this week amid guests like Edie Falco, Fran Lebowitz, Lena Hall, Cynthia Rowley and Candace Bushnell.<\/p>\n

One spy tells us Schlossberg, who\u2019s known for his zany and over-the-top social media posts<\/a>, seemed \u201csubdued, different than his Internet personality.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another source told us, \u201cHe worked the room and people were eating him up. He was polished. It wasn\u2019t \u2018Wild West.’\u201d<\/p>\n

A political insider tells us that gauging interest at this event is part of the game. <\/p>\n

\u201cCarnegie is a block party for the city\u2019s culture class,\u201d the source explained. \u201cIt\u2019s a yearly pilgrimage, it\u2019s a \u2018must do\u2019 on any political player\u2019s bingo card. It means you understand the ecosystem of the city.\u201d<\/p>\n

The black tie bash kicked off Carnegie\u2019s 2025\u20132026 season with selections from \u201cWest Side Story\u201d and \u201cThe Firebird Suite,\u201d followed by a dinner. <\/p>\n

Schlossberg, a Harvard Law grad, recently announced he\u2019s forming an exploratory committee to run for Rep. Jerry Nadler\u2019s now-open 12th District seat. <\/p>\n

The move came after Schlossberg \u2014 who has been taking aim at JD Vance as well as his Kennedy cousin, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. \u2014 posted a poll on his Instagram asking if he should run for office<\/a>, with most of his followers being enthusiastic about the idea.<\/p>\n

The former \u201cVogue\u201d contributor would step into the ring against candidates including non-profit founder Liam Elkind, state Assemblymember\u00a0Micah Lasher and New York City Council Member Erik Boettcher.<\/p>\n

Nadler, for one is not in his corner, previously telling CNN<\/a>: \u201cWell, there\u2019s nothing particularly good or bad about a Kennedy holding my seat. But the Kennedy, unlike Schlossberg, should be somebody with a record of public service, a record of public accomplishment, and he doesn\u2019t have one.\u201d Ouch! <\/p>\n
