{"id":295220,"date":"2025-10-11T17:40:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-11T17:40:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/295220\/"},"modified":"2025-10-11T17:40:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T17:40:13","slug":"bank-jugging-crimes-on-the-rise-in-la-county-city-police-warn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/295220\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Bank jugging&#8217; crimes on the rise in LA County city, police warn"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\"><strong>HERMOSA BEACH, Calif.<\/strong> &#8211; Local law enforcement is warning of an uptick in &#8220;bank jugging&#8221; crimes and urges the public to remain vigilant over this &#8220;crime of opportunity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;Juggers&#8221; most frequently target customers carrying bank bags, bank envelopes and\/or money boxes, officials said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KTTV\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">What we know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Bank jugging is when a criminal observes a customer entering and leaving a bank, then follows that customer in order to burglarize their vehicle or rob them directly because they believe the customer is in possession of a large amount of cash.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">According to authorities, most &#8220;juggings&#8221; happen at a retail or commercial business after the customer leaves the bank. Some &#8220;juggers will confront the customer and try to rob them by forcibly taking money from them.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">The crime can occur on the premises of the financial institution or at another location, like the victim\u2019s home or another business stop.
