The Ravens signed defensive tackle C.J. Okoye to the 53-man roster Saturday before facing the Los Angeles Rams.<\/p>\n

Baltimore waived undrafted rookie Reuben Lowery III after trading for veteran safety Alohi Gilman this week. Gilman is expected to make an instant impact<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One of the Ravens’ three undrafted rookies to make the original 53-man roster, Lowery filled in for the injured Kyle Hamilton last week against the Houston Texans and was one of several young players pressed into action who had a tough game.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-6, 370-pound Okoye has played the past two weeks and made seven tackles and one quarterback hit. An international player from Nigeria, it’s Okoye’s first time on the 53-man roster. He spent his first two years on the Los Angeles Chargers’ practice squad and started this season on Baltimore’s practice squad.<\/p>\n

The Ravens also activated quarterback Tyler Huntley and undrafted rookie safety Keondre Jackson from the practice squad.<\/p>\n

Huntley will be Cooper Rush’s backup with Lamar Jackson (hamstring) set to miss a second straight game. It will be Jackson’s first NFL game. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder from Illinois State will likely be used on special teams and will join Hamilton, Gilman, Malaki Starks, and Sanoussi Kane at safety.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Ravens signed defensive tackle C.J.
