Dylan Harper and Victor Wembanyama played their first game together.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The San Antonio Spurs<\/a> started their preseason without their No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Dylan Harper<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Harper was sidelined due to a partially torn ligament in his left thumb. The injury kept him out for over a month.<\/p>\n

However, Harper finally made his Spurs debut during the much-anticipated matchup against Ace Bailey<\/a> and the Utah Jazz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The preseason matchup was phenomenal as the two teams were inseparable after four quarters. The Spurs ultimately walked away with a 134-130 overtime win.<\/p>\n

After the game, Spurs\u2019 Victor Wembanyama<\/a> shared his honest thoughts on Harper\u2019s preseason debut for the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great. It\u2019s been a while, he\u2019s been back at practice for a few days but it\u2019s good to be on the court with him,\u201d Wembanyama said after the game.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cHe looks ready, very comfortable, already throwing me passes. I\u2019m very confident and very happy to be able to be on the court with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his debut, Harper played 18 minutes while recording 9 points and 3 assists. Considering he returned from an injury, it was a stellar performance by the Spurs rookie.<\/p>\n

The Harper-Wembanyama duo has a shot at becoming something special for the Spurs in the future. But for that to happen, the two stars need to develop chemistry.<\/p>\n

Following his first game with Wemby, Harper made an admission about learning to play with a star who is 7\u20194\u2033.<\/p>\n

\u201cI should\u2019ve [thrown] higher, a lot higher. It\u2019s weird. Ain\u2019t no one ever played with someone that tall. You get out there. You throw it up and you think you threw it too high. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut then he catches it and you\u2019re like, \u2018It\u2019s a little too low.\u2019 When you throw it to him you have to flip your brain,\u201d Harper admitted.<\/p>\n
