A light lunch will be provided by the Department of History and Geology. <\/p>\n<p>The memorial will also recognize the continuing presence and resilience of Native peoples. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about recognition \u2014 about the fact that this was all Indigenous peoples\u2019 land, and that we are still here,\u201d said Silva-Brave. \u201cIt\u2019s about reminding people of the true story of who were the first people here.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Visitor parking is available in the Maverick Parking Garage. Attendees can get a free event permit by visiting the MavPark website, selecting \u201cpurchase event permit,\u201d choosing \u201cstudent organization event,\u201d choosing the Indigenous Peoples\u2019 Day event and entering the voucher code IPD2025.
