She was a model as she started off her career and Smriti has some real good memories with many actors even before she came into the business. In a recent interview, Smriti recalled how she first met Shah Rukh Khan through her husband Zubin Irani. In a chat with Mashable India, Smriti fondly recalled her first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan, who left her speechless with his signature wit and humour. “I met Shah Rukh courtesy my husband,” Smriti shared. “He knew him, so I would pester him many times to ask Shah Rukh for an interview. When I finally met him, the first thing he said was, ‘Listen, don’t get married. Main bata raha hoon tujhe, mat karna shaadi (I’m telling you, don’t get married).’ I told him, ‘Bhai, too late!’”

Shah Rukh Khan returns in sleek ponytail look at Ganpati celebrations

That playful exchange, she said, was something she never forgot. Smriti also reminisced about her very first day on a film set — which, by coincidence, also involved Shah Rukh. “There was a movie with Shah Rukh and Juhi Chawla that Aziz Mirza had done. That was my first shot ever, and I was just a silhouette,” she recalled. She laughed as she described what happened next. “They told me to wear the dress and just stand there. That was my first time facing the camera,” she said, adding that the dress in question was the same black outfit Manisha Koirala wore in Akele Hum Akele Tum’s song Raja Ko Rani Se Pyaar Ho Gaya. But that wasn’t her only brush with Bollywood stars that time. Smriti went on to share another amusing story — this time involving Salman Khan’s father, veteran writer Salim Khan. “At St. Xavier’s, Salman and my husband were classmates. So the first time Zubin took me to meet Salman, Salim Khan was there. He said, ‘Tumko malum hai tumhare miyan sahab mere bete ke saath kya karte the? They used to steal my car and drive off. Nikamme hai dono!’”Smriti laughed as she remembered the moment. “I didn’t know where to look!” she said, recalling how both Salman and her husband looked down sheepishly while she stood there, caught between amusement and disbelief.

Now well known as a politician, Smriti Irani is still known as Tulsi from ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi…

[28
171,141103,151375,53,2897,14106,53168,67,132,68,151374
0":"post-296550","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-movies","8":"tag-entertainment","9":"tag-juhi-chawla","10":"tag-manisha-koirala","11":"tag-movies","12":"tag-salman-khan","13":"tag-shah-rukh-khan","14":"tag-smriti-irani","15":"tag-united-states","16":"tag-unitedstates","17":"tag-us","18":"tag-zubin-irani
["GET
