Dogs needed to be registered to take part in the contest.<\/p>\n<p>                                    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theshorthorn.com\/users\/profile\/Elvis%20Martinez%20Cartagena\" rel=\"author nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Photo by Elvis Martinez-Cartagena <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Grapevine, Texas, resident Megan Aeschbach, 35, won DIY and most creative with her goldendoodle Tyger, dressed in a handsewn Dallas Cowboys cheerleader uniform. <\/p>\n<p>Aeschbach said sewing the jewels onto Tyger&#8217;s costume took the longest and wasn\u2019t finished until the night before.
