And now, on Saturday, October 11, the San Antonio Police Department is reporting a second incident in as many weeks at another location.

According to preliminary info released by the department, officers responded to a report of a shooting around 2:25 a.m. at a Whataburger near IH-35 and Division Ave. Initial details by SAPD stated that a security officer had been involved in the incident with two other suspects.

Based on details gathered by authorities, a “disturbance” occurred between the first suspect and the on-site security officer, during which authorities say the suspect was asked to leave the premises. But before leaving, he made verbal threats toward the security officer. And after a bit of time, he returned with another individual, a 46-year-old man.

Both men approached and confronted the security officer in the parking lot, the department says. During the incident, the 46-year-old revealed a handgun before firing off multiple shots at the officer. Thus, the security officer returned fire, striking the second suspect multiple times, authorities say.

According to the department’s final notes, both suspects fled the scene after the shootings. Responding officers to the scene located the second suspect a short distance away and took him into custody without incident before finally taking him to a nearby hospital to treat his wounds. Authorities say he remains there in stable condition.

The first suspect still happens to be on the run, SAPD says. He faces an offense of assault on a security officer with a deadly weapon.

The security officer at the Whataburger location was not injured during the shootings.

This article originally published at San Antonio man shot multiple times by Whataburger security officer.

It was just last weekend that seven people were arrested in San Antonio after a fight broke out in…

[5133
5229,7202,20591,7203,48858,358,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969,61055
0":"post-296612","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-san-antonio","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-san-antonio","10":"tag-san-antonio-police-department","11":"tag-sanantonio","12":"tag-security-guard","13":"tag-texas","14":"tag-tx","15":"tag-united-states","16":"tag-united-states-of-america","17":"tag-unitedstates","18":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","19":"tag-us","20":"tag-usa","21":"tag-whataburger
["GET
