(Courtesy photo | Texas All Creatures Rescue)<\/p>\n<p>Dory Cox, a volunteer dog trapper with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasacr.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas All Creatures Rescue<\/a>, told commissioners that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JP3HuvRkE7c\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reports of up to 40 aggressive dogs<\/a> were inaccurate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo when we initially saw the videos on all the news stations of the pack of dogs, there was so much negativity that surrounded them, we felt like we weren\u2019t seeing that on the videos,\u201d Cox said.<\/p>\n<p>Texas All Creatures fed the dogs to socialize them as they began trapping, Cox told commissioners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have seen zero signs of any aggression from any of these dogs,\u201d Cox told commissioners. \u201cI have never personally seen 30 or 40 dogs. Every time we go, we count. (Courtesy photo | Texas All Creatures Rescue)<\/p>\n<p>Commissioners expressed interest in exploring long-term partnerships with cities, nonprofits and neighboring counties to address animal shelter capacity issues in Johnson County.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope that if we enter this agreement with the City of Fort Worth, that this can be a starting point for maybe a broader agreement that handles some of the capacity issues in Johnson County,\u201d County Judge Christopher Boedeker said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would also say that maybe we need to have a larger discussion in<\/p>\n<p>the future about partnering with other surrounding counties, and maybe with nonprofit organizations to create an opportunity for us to financially assist people that are doing the good work of getting these dogs adopted,\u201d Boedecker added.<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about how the transcript that informed this report was created, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/covergov.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">covergov.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Zarate is a freelance journalist.
