Liverpool<\/a>\u00a0could seek a fee in excess of \u00a350million for Harvey Elliott to leave this summer, according to a report.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/a>The <\/a>Premier League<\/a>\u00a0champions are braced for an approach for the Under 21\u00a0European Championship’s Player of the Tournament, who netted five times in six matches en route to the Young Lions’ triumphant campaign.<\/p>\n

Elliott’s performances in the tournament have brought his quality to front of mind for potential suitors who have a chance to acquire a young English midfielder with vast experience for his age.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite his obvious talents, Elliott does not appear to have much of a future at Anfield. Last season he started just two matches in the Premier League, both coming after the Reds had clinched the title, and the arrival of Florian Wirtz<\/a>\u00a0looks to have hindered his chances of first-team minutes further.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old is expected to follow his England U21 team-mate Jarrell Quansah, who is close to completing a \u00a335m move to Bayer Leverkusen, out the door in this window.<\/p>\n

And according to the Athletic<\/a>, the price for the defender, as well as the\u00a0\u00a332m fee\u00a0Sunderland<\/a> received from Borussia Dortmund<\/a>\u00a0for Jobe Bellingham, are instructive in setting the market for Elliott.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The outlet claim that the Reds will be seeking a fee in excess of \u00a340m plus a buy-back option or above \u00a350m without one.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Elliott appeared to indicate his intention for the summer when he admitted he cannot continue ‘wasting years’ of his career.<\/p>\n

‘It’s just a situation that me and the team on my behalf have to have a conversation about, because I’m coming to an age now where I’m 22, I’m going to be 23 next season, and I don’t really want to be wasting years of my career, because it’s a short career,’ Elliott said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I just want to improve and be the best possible version of myself and the best player I can be.<\/p>\n

‘If that’s to go somewhere else, then it’s a decision I’m going to have to make and I just need to see what happens.’<\/p>\n

Mail Sport understands that while Arne Slot was initially impressed with Elliott during pre-season, he was less pleased by his levels in training following a two-month absence with a foot injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However limited, Elliot’s contribution to Liverpool’s Premier League crown and his starling performances in the U21 Euros are seen as factors that give the Reds confidence of striking a significant deal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Additionally, the recent report claims that Elliott – who has two years remaining on his deal at Anfield – is attracting interest from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Mail Sport reported last week that Brighton and West Ham<\/a> are also admirers of the attacking midfielder, who has fallen to fourth in the pecking order at Anfield.<\/p>\n

Elliott is popular among Reds supporters after 147 games for the club, and an eventual exit, which many believe will be in the coming weeks, will sting.\u00a0<\/p>\n
