JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 A man was fatally shot on Saturday evening on Ribault Avenue.<\/p>\n

Around 7:40 p.m., officers responded to the Ribault Avenue Road near Soutel Drive after receiving reports of a person shot. <\/p>\n

When they arrived, they found an man lying in the road with a single gunshot wound to his chest. The man was transported to a local hospital but later died.<\/p>\n

Detectives are working with the Medical Examiner\u2019s Office and the State Attorney\u2019s Office to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.<\/p>\n

JSO said multiple witnesses were detained and cooperating with investigators. <\/p>\n
