The CicLAvia street festival returns to Los Angeles Sunday, with 7.15 miles in the downtown area closed to motorized vehicle traffic.<\/p>\n
\u201cCicLAvia \u2014 Heart of LA\u201d will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, and will stretch from Mariachi Plaza west past Little Tokyo to MacArthur Park, and north to Chinatown.<\/p>\n
No vehicles, electric scooters, electric skateboards, hoverboards, electric unicycles, motorcycles, or other non-people-powered vehicles will be allowed.<\/p>\n
The following streets will be closed, with some possibly closing as early as 6 a.m. Sunday:<\/p>\n
\u2014 Seventh Street, from S. Park View to Broadway;<\/p>\n
\u2014 Broadway, from Seventh to Bernard Street;<\/p>\n
\u2014 First Street, from Broadway to Alameda;<\/p>\n
\u2014 South Central Avenue, from First to Sixth Street;<\/p>\n
\u2014 Sixth, from S. Central Avenue to Whittier Boulevard;<\/p>\n
\u2014 Whittier, from E. Sixth to S. Boyle Avenue;<\/p>\n
\u2014 South Boyle, from Whittier to S. St. Louis Street;<\/p>\n
\u2014 South St. Louis, from S. Boyle to First;<\/p>\n
\u2014 First, from S. St. Louis to S. Boyle.<\/p>\n
Sunday\u2019s event will be the 63rd CicLAvia event. CicLAvia is a non-profit organization that has been operating the regular street festivals throughout the Los Angeles area since 2010. The public is encouraged to explore what different neighborhoods have to offer by walking, biking or skating.<\/p>\n
The next CicLAvia is scheduled for Nov. 23 on Melrose Avenue between Vermont Avenue and Fairfax Street.<\/p>\n
