For the third time since Thursday, Oct. 9, SpaceX has postponed its Falcon 9 rocket launch attempt on an Amazon Project Kuiper broadband satellite-deployment mission.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

And though SpaceX has not publicly stated a reason, the Falcon 9 is slated to ascend to the northeast and land atop the drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas hundreds of miles away the Atlantic Ocean \u2014 which remains churned up by the ongoing nor’easter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, SpaceX is targeting 8:08 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13,<\/a> for liftoff from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The Falcon 9 will propel Amazon’s 28 satellites into low-Earth orbit. This launch window will extend until 10:22 p.m., in case delays arise.<\/p>\n

Per the Space Force’s 45th Weather Squadron forecast, “the very wet weather pattern that entrenched the Space Coast over the last several days will finally come to an end Sunday as dry air filters in behind a cold front.”<\/p>\n

Odds of favorable launch weather on Monday night: 95%. However, the squadron continued to warn of a moderate-to-high risk of bad booster recovery weather.<\/p>\n
