choreographer will receive a coveted award and showcase highlights from his dance company at The University of Texas at Dallas in November.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/news.utdallas.edu\/arts\/brettell-award-in-the-arts-pendleton-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Moses Pendleton<\/a>, founder and artistic director of the dance company MOMIX, has been selected to receive the 2025\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brettell-award.utdallas.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Richard Brettell Award in the Arts<\/a>, the highest honor bestowed to artists by the university.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s a multitalented, transdisciplinary artist. We really lucked out with him,\u201d said\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/chairs.utdallas.edu\/biographies\/dr-nils-roemer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Dr. Nils Roemer<\/a>, dean of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bass.utdallas.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Bass School<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re excited to bring him to campus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MOMIX, founded by Pendleton in 1980, has earned a global following for its inventive choreography, touring worldwide for more than four decades with productions that include\u00a0Opus Cactus,\u00a0Botanica,\u00a0Lunar Sea,\u00a0Alchemia, and\u00a0Alice, among others.
