CHARLOTTE, N.C. \u2014 The Cowboys entered Sunday\u2019s game against the Panthers with the eighth-most rushing yards (672) and the eighth-most rushing yards per game (134.4).<\/p>\n

They left Bank of America Stadium in shambles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys rushed for a season-low 31 yards with an awful 1.6 yards per carry. <\/p>\n

Javonte Williams, who led the team in rushing with 447 yards entering the game to rank third in the NFL, had just 29 yards on 13 carries. He averaged just 2.2 yards per carry.<\/p>\n

Jaydon Blue, the rookie, who moved up the depth chart with Miles Sanders out for the season with a knee injury, had zero yards on three carries. Receiver Ryan Flournoy picked up three yards on an end-around.<\/p>\n

As Panthers running back Rico Dowdle was saying \u201cbuckle up\u201d to his former team<\/a>, the Cowboys didn\u2019t scare the Panthers\u2019 defense.<\/p>\n

In the last two games, the Panthers have allowed just 50 yards rushing. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut, again, give Carolina credit they were the more physical team today,\u201d coach Brian Schottenheimer said. \u201cWe knew it was going to be a physical game and I\u2019m man enough to stand up here in front of you guys and say that. I don\u2019t like it. I don\u2019t like saying it to our team but when you turn on the film, that\u2019s what you\u2019re going to see.\u201d<\/p>\n
