And with that, it has led to a debate over whether Reed could make the Ryder Cup team in September.

Reed has not played in the event since a pretty miserable week at Le Golf National in 2018. However, he was the star of the show in both 2014 and 2016, leading to Reed earning the nickname Captain America.

But not everyone believes that it would be a good idea to pick Reed.

Anthony Kim reacts to suggestion Keegan Bradley must not pick Patrick Reed for the Ryder Cup

Golf Channel broadcaster Eamon Lynch made the case that many Europeans will hope to see Reed picked for Bethpage. Lynch suggested that Reed would bring some toxicity to the team room having been involved in a number of controversial incidents during his career.

Reed is definitely a divisive character in the game. But Anthony Kim has hit out at the suggestion that he would be bad for the team room.

As well as agreeing with someone who claimed that Reed needs to be on the team, Kim was pretty strong in his criticism of Lynch’s view.

Who in the f-ck is Aimee lynch? But you could definitely understand why someone would disagree with Lynch’s opinion.

Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau both played their part in USA winning the 2021 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, despite their differences over the years.

You would imagine that Bradley would definitely speak to those who will be on the team about the idea of Reed being involved. Ultimately, unless Reed wins The Open Championship this month, it is going to be something of a gamble whatever Bradley decides.

And if Reed ends up getting one of the captain’s picks for Bethpage, you can almost guarantee that figures such as Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele would have given the decision their blessing.

[47
25553,1430,19413,10123,8656,62,67,132,68
0":"post-29875","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-golf","8":"tag-anthony-kim","9":"tag-golf","10":"tag-liv-golf","11":"tag-patrick-reed","12":"tag-ryder-cup","13":"tag-sports","14":"tag-united-states","15":"tag-unitedstates","16":"tag-us
["GET
