{"id":299106,"date":"2025-10-13T05:19:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T05:19:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/299106\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T05:19:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T05:19:09","slug":"man-claims-1000-disappeared-after-transferring-money-from-bank-account-to-e-wallet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/299106\/","title":{"rendered":"Man claims $1,000 &#8216;disappeared&#8217; after transferring money from bank account to e-wallet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">A 70-year-old man claims that $1,000 &#8220;disappeared into thin air&#8221; after he transferred the amount from his bank account to an e-wallet, leaving him distressed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Mr Jiang (transliterated) told <a class=\"text-primary-500 hover:underline\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zaobao.com.sg\/realtime\/singapore\/story20251012-7652962\" target=\"_blank\">Shin Min Daily News<\/a> that the incident happened in July, when he used DBS Bank&#8217;s PayNow service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">He transferred $1,000 to his Revolut Technologies Singapore e-wallet, only for the money to go missing.<\/p>\n<p>$1,000 Transfer &#8216;not yet received&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Mr Jiang said he had travelled to Italy earlier this year to take care of his grandson and decided to sign up for a Revolut e-wallet to make overseas spending more convenient.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;I signed up for Revolut because there are no annual or administrative fees. I didn&#8217;t expect to run into problems on my very first use,&#8221; he told Shin Min.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">According to him, the DBS PayNow page showed that the transaction was completed, but the e-wallet never received the funds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">He immediately contacted Revolut&#8217;s customer service team and provided screenshots showing that the transfer had gone through. However, he did not receive a satisfactory response, Shin Min reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">&#8220;The money was clearly transferred, so why does the other party say it hasn&#8217;t been received?
