Election Day in New York is Tuesday, November 4, 2025, for mayor of New York and other city-wide and local offices, as well as six ballot proposals. Here is what you need to know in order to vote in the General Election in New York City:<\/p>\n
Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n In order to vote in New York, you have to be registered. If you haven\u2019t registered to vote in New York, you must do so by October 25, 2025. The board of elections must\u00a0receive\u00a0your registration by that date in person, online or by mail.<\/p>\n Ballot By Mail<\/strong><\/p>\n New York City Ballot Request Portal<\/a><\/p>\n Any registered voter can apply for a Ballot by Mail Early Voting<\/p>\n Early voting is available from Oct 25- Nov 2. The poll site is different for early voting than on Election Day, and the hours of operation differ (See link below.)<\/p>\n Election Day Voting<\/p>\n Voting on Election Day Tuesday, November 4 is from 6 am to 9 pm<\/p>\n Find Your Pollsite and View a Sample Ballot<\/a><\/p>\n You\u2019ll see that the sample ballot list elections for more than just the Mayor, the Public Advocate and the City Comptroller, all city-wide offices. (Important note: Two of the candidates still listed on the sample ballot, Eric Adams and Jim Walden have dropped out of the race.
