It\u2019s still sex!)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The mystery surrounding sex in older age stems from a combination of factors, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/drshannonchavez.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-skimlinks-tracking=\"7955843\" data-affiliate=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Shannon Chavez<\/a>, a licensed psychologist and sex therapist in\u00a0 Beverly Hills, California.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>First, societal taboos and ageist attitudes have led to a marginalization of older adults\u2019 sexuality. No one wants to imagine people their grandparents\u2019 or parents\u2019 age having sex, so we cast out those thoughts.
