Yet, despite the constant threat, the sector has made significant strides.<\/p>\n<p>The recent Financial Services Edition of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/cpl.thalesgroup.com\/financial-services-data-threat-report\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\">2025 Thales Data Threat Report<\/a> shows a downward trend in data breaches, with only 16% of global financial services organisations reporting a breach in the past year, down from 29% in 2021.
