As another summer wraps up in Portland, Maine, the search for indoor activities begins as the weather cools outside.<\/p>\n
Portland is home to museums, art galleries, movie theaters<\/a>, concert halls, breweries and more. But you could make an argument the city needed a little something else to satisfy locals and visitors.<\/p>\n That something else may be a combination indoor mini golf course and sports bar. And it’s almost here.<\/p>\n Minibar in Portland, Maine, Sets Grand Opening Date<\/p>\n According to Portland Food Map<\/a>, a portion of the old World’s Gym space at 265 Marginal Way has been built out to become Portland’s first indoor mini golf course within city limits.<\/p>\n It’s called Minibar and the owners have been working tirelessly for most of the year to get the highly anticipated spot ready for a grand opening.<\/p>\n That opening date is officially set for Thursday, October 16 at 3pm<\/a>.<\/p>\n Minibar Will Serve As a Massive Sports Bar As Well<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n The other void is a sports bar.\u00a0Since both Binga’s Stadium and Rivalries closed<\/a>\u00a0in recent years, sports fan in and around Portland haven’t had many places to congregate and watch a big game with friends.<\/p>\n Minibar will offer a large dining area with 32 televisions perfect for any and all sports viewing.\u00a0 Minibar will feature a menu with both classic sports bar offerings and some that have been slightly reimagined.<\/p>\n They’ll even feature Sea Dog Biscuits as part of their dessert menu.<\/p>\n Minibar Will Feature a Custom-Designed 18-hole Mini Golf Course<\/p>\n The top draw to Minibar for many will be their indoor mini golf course.<\/p>\n Minibar has put together an entirely custom 18-hole course that is themed behind the state of Maine.<\/p>\n Visitors can even book a tee time in advance to ensure they’re hitting the course exactly when they want to.<\/p>\n 34 Mini Golf Courses to Play in Maine<\/p>\n The golf season is upon us.
