Don Henley, Joe Walsh and the Eagles<\/a> aren\u2019t ready to cash their chips in just yet.<\/p>\n The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group just extended their ongoing Las Vegas Sphere<\/a> residency into February 2026. Their four newly-added shows in celebration of the 50th anniversary of their album \u201cTheir Greatest Hits 1971-75\u201d are scheduled to take place on:<\/p>\n Friday, Feb 20<\/strong> With the addition of this quartet of new concerts \u2014\u00a0their 49th, 50th, 51st and 52nd, respectively \u2014 the \u201970s soft rock chart-toppers officially claim the throne of most shows performed by any act at Sphere besting Dead and Company\u2019s 48.<\/p>\n \u201cLife\u2019s been good with Eagles at Sphere,\u201d the Sin City venue shared on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n In the event you have\u2019t seen the \u201cHotel California\u201d group live, past records of their shows indicate they typically perform 20 songs per gig. That includes hits like \u201cLife In The Fast Lane,\u201d \u201cDesperado,\u201d \u201cTequila Sunrise,\u201d \u201cTake It Easy\u201d and \u201cLyin\u2019 Eyes\u201d among others.<\/p>\n On top of the unreal sound \u2014\u00a0bolstered by Sphere\u2019s 167,000 (!) amplified loudspeaker drivers \u2014\u00a0the young concert venue is also known for their larger-than-life, wraparound eye candy.<\/p>\n \u201cIncredible visuals accompanied the Eagles\u2019 performance, with desert landscapes, Los Angeles landmarks and otherworldly images projected on the Sphere\u2019s all-encompassing screens,\u201d Ultimate Classic Rock<\/a> gushed about the band\u2019s opening night show back in September 2024. \u201cFurther highlights included \u201cTake It to the Limit\u201d with a spacey, intergalactic motif, and \u201cThe Boys of Summer,\u201d accompanied by footage of oversized swimmers, diving and paddling through the Sphere\u2019s massive walls.\u201d<\/p>\n As for whether or not these recently-announced gigs prove to be the long-running group\u2019s last is yet to be seen. For a closer look at how things have changed, you can find the songs they played at their most recent Sphere gig here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Eagles band members<\/p>\n When you\u2019ve been \u201ctaking it to the limit\u201d since 1971, there\u2019s bound to be a bit of shakeup in your group.<\/p>\n Still, after 50+ years together, 78-year-old founding member Don Henley (drums, vocals, also known for the timeless \u201980s smash \u201cBoys of Summer), continues to head the group.<\/p>\n At all Sphere dates, he\u2019s joined by 77-year-old Joe Walsh (who also fronted The James Gang), 77-year-old Timothy B. Schmit (bassist and vocalist who played with Poco), 22-time Grammy winner Vince Gill and the late Glenn Frey\u2019s 30-something son, Deacon.<\/p>\n Past members that are no longer with the band include Frey (who passed away in 2016) and Randy Meisner (he left this mortal coil in 2023). Bernie Leadon is still alive but hasn\u2019t played with the band since 2016. As for guitarist Don Felder, he tours with Styx and REO Speedwagon\u2019s Kevin Cronin<\/a>, although The Post <\/a>reported he suffered a medical emergency at a show earlier this year.<\/p>\n Over the course of the group\u2019s half-century together, The Eagles have received six Grammy Awards, performed over 1,000 concerts, and sold over 150 million albums.
