Nine breweries in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties took home gold at the Great American Beer Festival.<\/p>\n
The event took place Oct. 9-11 in Denver, with 8,315 beers judged and 347 medals awarded to 273 breweries and cideries, according to the Brewers Association, which organizes the competition.<\/p>\n
