On Oct. 7, generations of \u201cRocky Horror Picture Show\u201d fans packed ASU Gammage in Tempe for a 50th anniversary screening of the beloved cult film.<\/p>\n

The event was hosted by Larry Viezel, president of the \u201cRocky Horror\u201d fan club, and featured a special appearance by Barry Bostwick, now 80, who played Brad Majors in the film. <\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone came to me and said, \u2018Brad is my favorite character.\u2019 I said, \u2018What are you talking about? He\u2019s not even mine,’\u201d Bostwick quipped from the stage.<\/p>\n

He also joked about why he took the role in the iconic film.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018I\u2019m a serious actor,\u2019 and then I found out I would get humped by Tim Curry and I said, \u2018I\u2019m in.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The event also included free prop bags for ticketholders, a costume contest, the traditional hazing of virgins (people who haven\u2019t been to a \u201cRocky Horror\u201d screening before) and lots of yelling things at the screen. It was an affair Frank N. Furter would have approved of.<\/p>\n
