It’s welcome news for a region that hasn’t had any measurable precipitation in almost 20 days, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

The rain will move through Texas as part of a cold front, which is forecast to drop temperatures Sunday. The high at DFW International Airport is currently expected to fall to 83 degrees, which would make it the coldest day so far in October. That crisp day would still be six degrees above the seasonal normal for mid-October.

D-FW Weather Wise

From snow to 100-degree heat, we’ve got you covered.

By signing up, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Before then, it’s expected to be more of the same in North Texas.
