NC State begins the year at No. 38, which is a lot higher than where it finished the 2025 season\u2014at No. 125.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">That\u2019s good enough for fifth in the ACC pecking order, behind (in order) Duke, Louisville, Clemson, and UNC. Clemson and UNC also are ranked in the 30s, so we\u2019re not talking about a big difference here. KenPom projects State to have a top-40 offense and a top-40 defense, and finish 19-10 (11-7).
